relationship intensives

What are those?

The Coordinated Couples Counseling (CCC) method was developed in 2023 by Kaitlyn Lickteig, MA, LPC, and Whit Davison, LCSW, to address both individual & relationship obstacles within the same therapeutic space. The course of treatment is usually completed over the course of a few days, often scheduled to fit within busy lifestyles. The CCC method offers an immersive, effective alternative to traditional couples therapy that has a built-in capacity to treat the couple on an individual level as well.

How is it different?

Relationship intensives backed by CCC differ from traditional methods in the ability to address individual issues and relationship issues simultaneously. You'll get two therapists working together to help you and your partner thrive. Additional differences include:

  • not feeling "ganged up on" or "it's 2 against 1"
  • flexibility to work on individual goals as well as #couplegoals
  • eliminating the need for an additional therapist, reducing paperwork, coordination of care efforts, and a long-term time commitment, saving time and money.

How much does it cost?

Relationship Intensive treatment is $1200. Offering this treatment at a flat rate allows us to account for all documentation, assessment, evaluation, treatment planning, case conceptualization, and coordination outside of session time to put the focus on quality of care.

  • Additional 90-minute joint sessions are offered at a rate of $800/session.

Due to the unique nature of this treatment, it is currently not covered by insurance. Any and all participation costs would be considered out-of-network.

How does it work?

Treatment includes:

  1. Initial Consultation: you and your partner meet with one or both therapists to discuss goals and determine fit and compatibility.
  2. Provider Assignment/Treatment Planning: you and your partner will be assigned a therapist.
  3. Individual Session: you and your partner will schedule and attend individual sessions separately.
  4. Therapist Consultation: Your therapists will meet separately to align individual and relationship goals and create framework for the joint session.
  5. Joint Session: All parties come together to attend a 90-minute session.
  6. Treatment Follow-Up: All parties discuss and reflect on takeaways, goal progress and explore potential benefits of additional joint sessions.

Additional joint sessions are offered based on need or request but are not required or included in treatment cost.
